Barry Felsher of Dundas, Ontario, has died, according to a funeral-home notice published this week. The United Hebrew Memorial Chapel of Hamilton lists Felsher’s date of death as October 2, 2026, and announced that a chapel service was scheduled for October 5, followed by interment at Adas Israel Cemetery in Burlington.

Felsher was known professionally for his work in emergency medical services and his connection to Peel Regional Paramedic Services. Public records identify him as a former Advanced Care Paramedic who later served as a Superintendent with the Region of Peel. His career reflected a progression from frontline emergency care into operational leadership.

His work placed him within a demanding system responsible for providing emergency medical care throughout Peel Region. Peel Regional Paramedic Services describes its operations team as including commanders, superintendents, schedulers, and paramedics who help keep the emergency-response system running around the clock.

For colleagues who spent years working alongside Felsher, his professional legacy is likely to be remembered through the demands of emergency response, the teamwork required during difficult calls, and the responsibility that came with leadership. A career in paramedicine often creates lasting connections between coworkers who rely on one another in moments when people are at their most vulnerable.

While early online reports provided few details about his personal life or the circumstances of his death, the funeral-home notice now confirms his passing and provides information about his funeral arrangements. No cause of death was identified in the notice, so it would be inappropriate to speculate about what led to his death.

Barry Felsher’s passing marks the loss of a member of Ontario’s emergency-services community whose professional life was dedicated to helping maintain and lead an essential public service. For family, friends, and former colleagues, his memory will extend beyond his titles and responsibilities to the relationships and experiences built throughout his years of service.

As those who knew Barry mourn, they can hold onto the impact of the work he gave to his community and the memories created throughout his life. His passing leaves a period of grief for those closest to him, while his years of service in emergency medical care remain an important part of the legacy he leaves behind.
